Artist Lenita Rundgren examines Arcticity from different points of view in her art. Northern subjects such as the coldness of the Lappish winter, the darkness and light in the Arctic environment, silence, loneliness and longing. Rundgren’s art is influenced by old northern stories, shaman drums and ancient rock paintings. Rundgren creates new art by bringing together different aspects of Arcticity. Rundgren’s art refers often to Lappish nature and its mysticism. Rundgren wants to respect Nordic indigenous people and their artistic heritage in her art.
