World of my mind, an alternative reality, a strange dimension that mixes seasons,
animals and people, past and coming.
Dreams, past life and nature around me are filtering themselves through my
subconscious’ mincing machine and convert into new beings and characters.
The sculptures have undergone metamorphosis, they are still in the process of
transformation, or are shaped by their initial stages; figures welling from my arkane
memory. Logic and reason have been thrown away, completely forgotten.
The material in all figures is wood, to which I add other natural materials but also
materials such as bronze or old wooden or mechanical iron parts. I am a storyteller
and by combining solid wood and materials, that have once been part of a living
human or animal, like hair, eyelashes, baby teeth of my son, or parts of an animal, I
am creating my own kind of metamorphosis; characters that now have their own
special history.
