The exhibition is inspired by fairy lights, fireworks and sparkling christmas decorations. There are paintings based on my observations and my memories about my home city Helsinki during winter on show. I visualize the dark time of the year, its habits and its atmosphere: How streets, windows and balconies are decorated with lights to bring joy to the darkness. How homes are warm and bright, while it sleets horizontally outside. How christmas lights and glowing advertizements light up the shopping malls. And how a year changes while lights are fired to the sky.
