We are seeking for visual arts manager


The Artists´ Association of Lapland is seeking for a visual arts manager to work in the Art2World 2019 project. We are looking for a manager-producer who knows practices in the art world and contemporary art and has good networks. Successful management of the project requires also business expertise.

The project's title, Art2World, refers to both artists´ mobility and the journey of artworks from artists to world – international exhibitions and customers. The project is financed by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture and supported by The Arts Promotion Centre Finland, the Rovaniemi office.

The key tasks of a manager-producer are:

• Mentoring of members of our association

• Preparation of exhibition projects

• Supporting our gallerist producer to promote sales, producing pop-up exhibitions, developing e-commerce, and developing the collaboration with our partners.

• Participation to write applications for further funding for manager-producer

The Artists´ Association of Lapland has the office in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland. It is not necessary for the manager to live in Lapland, but we do not have budget to cover travel costs from elsewhere.


Application period

16 January 2019 – 10  February 2019



Monthly salary, 3000 €, 35 hours a week.

We also consider applications of manager-producer who works as an entrepreneur and invoices their work on a task-specific basis.


Duration and schedule of the work

The duration of the work is six months and must be started by 1.4.2019 at the latest.

• Previous work experience in a suitable field 35%

• Familiarity with Lapland 10%

• Language skills 5%
