The Arts Promotion Center (Taike) has raised the annual support of the Artists’ Association of Lapland. Thus, we lower the exhibition rents of all our galleries. The exhibition times of the galleries for 2023 are to be applied by May 30th 2022.
The Artists’ Association of Lapland has three exhibition spaces in Lapland, where solo and group exhibitions of contemporary art are presented. Gallery Napa is located next to the Rovaniemi Culture House Korundi and Rovaniemi Art Museum. Napa is a bright showroom with large windows to the street. Downstairs is the black-walled Studio Mustanapa, which serves as an exhibition space for video and media art as well as installations. Gallery Kellokas is located in Äkäslompolo in Yllästunturi, in the premises of the Nature Center Kellokas.
Exhibition rent
The exhibition time at Gallery Napa and Studio Mustanapa is 3.5 weeks. Gallery Napa’s rent is 650 euros (membership price 400 euros) and Studio Mustanapa’s 400 euros (membership price 300 euros). The gallery charges a 20% sales commission on the works sold.
The exhibition period at Gallery Kellokas is about two months. The exhibition rent is 500 euros (membership price 300 euros) and the sales commission is 30%. Kellokas has free accommodation for the hanger / unloader of the exhibition.
Here’s how to apply
The exhibition time is applied with a free-form application (in pdf format), which includes an exhibition plan, a CV and 5-10 images of the latest works. The application addressed to the Exhibition Committee may be submitted by post or electronically. Selections will be notified by email. The application is requested to indicate which exhibition space is being applied for and at what time. The exhibition committee of the the Association decides on the exhibition selections.
