For me, freedom is a feeling, an experience, a state of mind. In today’s human world, I feel that it´s very hard to find freedom. Yet from making art I find it. The sentiment of having the liberty to think, to feel, to do and to express anything I want in any way I want. And this sentiment leads to a state of mind that one could call freedom.
Reaching and finding freedom leads to a very open, free process so the outcome of the process is also very freely interpretable. Naturally the works have personal interpretations and meanings which can be hinted at through their names. Though names and personal interpretations are only parts of a single view. So please, feel free to interpret these images freely, in your own way.
Vapaus on minulle tunne, kokemus, mielentila. Nykyisessä ihmisen maailmassa sitä on mielestäni hyvin vaikeaa löytää tai tavoittaa. Taiteen tekemisestä sitä silti löydän. Tunnetta ja kokemusta siitä, että saan ajatella, tuntea, tehdä ja ilmaista mitä tahansa, miten tahansa. Se johtaa mielentilaan, jota voisi vapaudeksi kutsua.
Vapauden tavoittelu ja sen löytäminen johtaa hyvin avoimeen, vapaaseen tekoprosessiin, joten myös syntyneet teokset ovat hyvin vapaasti tulkittavissa. Teoksilla on toki henkilökohtaiset tulkinnat ja merkitykset, joista voi saada vihjeitä nimien kautta. Silti nimet ja omat tulkinnat ovat vain yhden näkemyksen yksi osa. Joten ole hyvä ja koe olevasi vapaa tulkitsemaan näitä kuvia vapaasti, sinun omalla tavallasi.
